Located south of Atlanta in Peachtree City, just 30 minutes from the Atlanta Airport, Peachtree City Tennis Center‘s professional vibe and fresh energy sets it apart from other public facilities. 12 hard courts, 6 clay courts, and 6 indoor courts, all fully lighted, make up this fabulous destination sitting on 12 acres in a booming town. Over 100 unique ALTA and USTA teams compete with PCTC as their home courts, and the facility also runs year-round drills, junior camps and academies, lessons and tournaments. As a public facility with membership options, PCTC can meet your every need, whether it’s for a one-time stop or a long-term relocation. Run by Club Corp, the City of Peachtree City, and the Southern Crescent Tennis Association, this location does not lack funding and support among the community. Adults can meet their next life-long ATLA doubles partner and children can gain invaluable relationships that will last through high school and even college. Whether you plan to pursue tennis as a career or to simply stay in shape, Peachtree City can entertain your desires.

Yearly memberships feature families of 3+ for $750, families of 2 for $700, individual memberships for $450, senior (55+) for $400, and juniors (21 & under) for $300. Members experience waived court fees, registration priority on group and team practices, 20% discount in the pro-shop (excluding stringing), four outdoor annual guest passes, waived league match fees, discounted private lessons, ball machine rentals, and monthly billing options. The pro shop serves visitors with fully-stocked racks of shoes, apparel, rackets and stringing. And, just next door, is Spice Restaurant, a tasty place to wind-down and enjoy authentic food after a three-setter.

As Jonathan Fralick, General Manager of PCTC, said,

“We want to ensure the most positive experience you can have playing tennis, including everything from customer service to court time,” Fralick said. “If this facility were located anywhere else, we would have competition.” But, the GM know that, with the magnitude of this facility, PCTC could compete with the anyone, anywhere.

Fralick also described the venue as an extremely professional environment. The facility prides itself on being a complete, comprehensive full-service facility; the expectations are for a high level of commitment, and no favors are made over members or non members. Everyone who plays or visits PCTC should have a positive and memorable experience from beginning to end.

With over $1 million in revenue, PCTC resurfaces their courts every three years, employs eight full time coaches with over 25 staff members, provides a full service pro shop with stringers, restaurant, showers and lockers, tournament room and training room. The center plays host to the Girls 14 National Hard Courts, the USTA GA State Wheelchair Championships, the Adidas Elite 32 in May, 11 USTA junior events, the National Junior College Championships (NJCAA), the D3 Women’s Championships, and even the National Cornhole Competition indoors in March, and many more events.

For junior players, PCTC offers a High Performance Program of difference levels at various costs:

  • High Performance Team (Pro evaluation required)
  • High Performance II (ages 8-11) – orange/green ball with ranking requirement- 10 tournaments a year
  • High Performance III (ages 11-14) – ranking requirement- top 150 in GA
  • High Performance Select (ages 12-18) – ranking requirement- top 75 in GA
  • HP III and Select– Additional Opportunities (base package must be purchased)
    • 2 days/week small group (up to 4 players): Groups assigned by level – Tues/Thurs OR Mon/Wed for $140/month (4-5pm or 7-8pm)
    • ALL-IN: 2 days small group, 4 private lessons/month, unlimited groups, speed & agility, 1 local tournament per month with coaching tbd monthly ($900/month)
  • Drop-In Fee $50 per day for Select or $35 for other programs per day.

Other options include the Junior Development Tennis Program, which runs for six weeks at a time. With groups such as the Tiny Tennis (ages 4-5,) Aces (ages 6-8,) Futures (ages 8-10,) Challenger (ages 10-13,) Challenger II (ages 13-15,) and Junior Competition (ages 14-17), every junior player can find their niche. PCTC also offers USTA Junior Team Tennis teams out of the facility each season. In the Tennis Academy, over 450 juniors train year-round, and over 35 tournament juniors who show strength in the 10s, 12s and 14s age divisions in local and regional tournaments. The academy focuses on effort and mechanics for every player, both for juniors and adults.

For adults, the Adult Developmental Tennis Program has six week sessions for Tennis 101 (entry-level) and Tennis 201 (2.5 players.) Sessions run for an hour on Monday, Thursday, Saturday for Tennis 101 and Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday for Tennis 201.

Weekly Drop-in Drills also entice players, with Cardio (heart pumping drills) on Wednesday and friary for an hour each, the Fast Feed (3.5-4.0 players) for an hour and a half each on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (Clay), and Saturday (Men & Women), or Thursday Night Men’s Round Robin (3.5-4.0 players) from 7:30pm-8:55pm. Men can play the coaching staff on these evenings for a surely competitive experience.

Southeast Team Tennis, or SETT, a unique aspect to PCTC, allows beginning adults to compete on teams out of PCTC on Sundays featuring 2 singles and 1 doubles match, practice four times/season with their team, attend a player’s party, and simply enjoy their tennis experience with a positive, team atmosphere. Just last year, over 65 new ladies joined tennis through SETT!

Peachtree City alone could entice you to make the trip to the tennis center, with 99 miles of golf cart paths lining the city; yes, you heard correctly! Local restaurants and businesses encourage golf cart parking and commuting to and from their locations, and even to your local tennis facility. If driving a golf court along paved pathways in a city doesn’t seal the deal, try out Lake Peachtree, the Fred amphitheater, local PTC dog park, and other outdoors arenas. The city truly incorporates a one-of-a-kind vibe that must be experienced to truly appreciate its value.

Amazing place

You have to see it to believe. Wish I had a place like IMG Academy available to me when I was younger. As a parent this in an amazing place to send your kid to put them in a position to achieve their goals.
