Centennial Sportsplex // An All-Inclusive Center Offering Nashville the Highest Level of Tennis

Centennial Sportsplex features a tennis and fitness center in the heart of Nashville along with its other first-class public amenities.

With Centennial Sportsplex, you’re able to incorporate everything fitness, and then some. With 13 total lighted outdoor tennis courts, four indoor courts, a 2,500-seat stadium court, and eight 36′ courts around the complex, you can fulfill your tennis visions, right in the home of country music. Programing ranges from juniors to adults to leagues and even collegiate play. Your visit to Nashville could incorporate some on-court time among your downtown ventures.

If you’re searching for that perfect public tennis option in Nashville, we have located it just for you. Among dozens of country club options in the lively city, the options for public courts are few and far between. But, that’s not an issue when a facility of this caliber becomes available just a few miles from downtown, across the street from Vanderbilt University, and in the center of all the action.

For membership options, Centennial Sportsplex members enjoy discounted court time on the outdoor hard courts, with $4/hour instead of $10/hour. Guests and members are also welcome to book indoor court time for $20/hour.

The sportsplex not only includes tennis, but it also features a spacious fitness center with spin room and class options for aerobics, barre, boot camp, yoga, pilates and more, an indoor swimming pool, a hockey arena for ice-skating and hockey, and ample event and corporate space. The Nashville Predators practice at Centennial Sportsplex if you’re interested in getting up close with some of the best in the game (after your court time of course!)

For the tennis center, five full-time teaching professionals engage both juniors and adults in a multitude of class and competitive options around the clock. Adults engage in both clinics and Power Tennis:

  • Beginner Clinic: Wednesdays 6pm-7pm; $60
  • Intermediate Clinic: Wednesdays 6pm-7pm; $60
  • Power Tennis (all levels): Wednesdays 6am-7am; $60

Juniors will grow up with a racket in hand at Centennial Sportsplex, with clinics for 8U through tournament level players interested in high level tennis and even homeschoolers. There are over 100 junior players in the youth program on site.

  • 8U Clinics: Mondays: $36; Wednesdays: $36; Both: $72; 4pm-4:50pm (5-8 years old)
  • 10U Clinics: Mondays: $36; Wednesdays: $36; Both: $72; 5pm-5:50pm
  • 12U Clinics: Tuesdays: $36; Thursdays: $36; Both: $72; 4pm-4:50pm
  • 14U Clinics: Tuesdays: $36; Thursdays: $36; Both: $72; 5pm-5:50pm
  • Elite: Mondays and Wednesdays by invite only; $54 for 1 day or $108 for both; 4:30pm-5:50pm

USTA Tennessee also offers Rally Cats for Youth Beginners 4-10 years old on Fridays for 4 weeks from 5:30-6:30pm for $50 total.

All clinics allow sign-ups in advance, which is encouraged, but you are able to walk-up as space permits.

Private and semi-private lessons are available with teaching instructors along with ball machine rental for $10/hour for guests and $5/hour for members.

Summer camps offer a week-long fun-filled tennis outing during June and July for either a half day of tennis or a full day of both tennis and swimming. Typically, about 25 campers attend, so your child is sure to make some lasting friendships while boosting his skills.

Centennial Sportsplex also hosts four sanctioned junior USTA tournaments each year, ranging from L4 Southern events to the regional 10U Southern tournament. Two adult wheelchair events are played out of Centennial Sportsplex in June and every other September. Wheelcats offers a fun and competitive environment for year-round play as well.

Belmont University’s tennis programs utilize Centennial Sportsplex as their home courts for both practice and matches, so competitive tennis is always available for viewing during the fall and spring season.

For league play, USTA reigns on site, with over 20 USTA adult teams competing, and a variety of Junior Team Tennis teams available per request. Pros will offer clinics for age and skill-based groups during each league season as well. Along with USTA, other leagues include NALTA (Nashville Area Ladies Tennis Association), GTL (Gentlemen’s Tennis League), and MTTL (Middle Tennessee Tennis League).

Centennial Sportsplex prides itself on junior development for all ages and levels, not solely for the high level athletes. They will work with everyone to attain their full potential in a fun environment while encourage everyone in the area to play tennis. For Centennial Sportsplex, it’s a community game as opposed to an exclusive game.
